Frequently Asked Delivery Questions

How long does it take to deliver?
We aim to deliver within 5 working days of receiving your order. 90% of our customers receive their order much quicker than this, but it will depend on where in the country it is being delivered, and whether our dispatch team have been able to speak to you to book in delivery. Upon placing an order please ensure we have a daytime contact number so that we can speak to you to arrange a suitable delivery date for your purchase. Some popular items are sold in advance if current stock has sold out; for such products, our website will display dates for the next available delivery.

How do I find out when my delivery will arrive?
On receiving your order, a member from our dispatch team will contact you on the number on your order to arrange a suitable delivery day. If your order is being sent via Parcelforce, you should receive either SMS or email confirmation once your parcel has been dispatched. All orders will be delivered Monday to Fridays (excluding bank holidays). During adverse weather conditions, deliveries may be disrupted.

Who will deliver my item(s)?
We use Parcelforce 48 hour service for trunks, some cabinets, and some smaller items of furniture. Depending on location and at our own discretion, some larger items will be delivered by Furniture Company 247 staff on one of our own vehicles. Alternatively, your order may be dispatched via a courier company. To ensure the furniture does not get bumped or damaged in any way, your items may be dispatched strapped to a wooden pallet. Upon delivery the driver will only be able to manoeuvre the pallet to a suitable flat concrete surface (for example a driveway/garage etc).

Do you do timed deliveries?
In some cases we can specify morning or afternoon deliveries, but we request our drivers and pallet companies call you an hour prior to delivery to avoid any inconvenience. Unfortunately Parcelforce are unable to offer this service but you will receive a card through your letterbox if you are not at home when delivery is attempted.

In the event of a problem:
  • If you are not at home, delivery is refused or aborted for whatever reason, for a pre arranged delivery/ collection we reserve the right to charge a second delivery charge to re-deliver your order as our FREE DELIVERY obligation only stands for the first delivery attempt. For larger cabinets, outdoor and conservatory furniture, the price, as a guide only, will be around £49.99. Smaller cabinets and baskets will be approximately £11.99.
  • If you wish to change the delivery date once it is agreed then please give us at least 48 hours notice prior to delivery.
All of our items are shipped fully insured, however please ensure you read the section below as without this procedure being followed the insurance would become invalid. Upon receipt of your item please note that in signing for the item your are signing as received in good condition we strongly suggest (where possible) that you open your parcel in front of the delivery driver to ensure no damage has occurred. Should the unforeseen happen and there be any signs whatsoever of damage please refuse to accept delivery and ask the driver to return the product. Unfortunately if this procedure is not adhered to in full this would invalidate any insurance.
